Kawa Sushi Japanese Cuisine Reviews
I took my parents to lunch and had some of the best sushi and teriyaki I've had in a long time! The service was a little slow but it picked up once a 3rd person started their shift. Everyone was very pleasant and happy to see you. I was leary at first because of only seeing 3.5 stars but when I saw that it was Sharon with parking issues when she wasn't even a customer, that just chapped my hide. Reviews are meant for the establishment experience, not for someone who couldn't get away with taking advantage! Hats off to this little gem for standing their ground.
Pleasantly surprised! Last time I ate here a few years ago I didnt like it, but this time enjoyed! Came here on a Sunday evening, pretty empty but also new years eve week. Service: attentive Food: GARLIC ROASTED EDAMAME: i have my favorite spot for these but wow these def gave them a run for their money. Screw making out, that garlic is amazing. HAMACHI KAMA: mostly buttery, was one part that was a little dry but very good WASHINGTON ROLL: salmon was delish and would get this again DESSERT: FRIED ICE CREAM: i didnt enjoy this at all. It seems to be breaded with actual bread pieces and you can taste it, too thick. Ended up just picking dor the ice cream TEMPURA APPETIZER: pricey imo, about $11 but was good
Came in for some dinner after wine tasting. Staff super nice and accommodating our party of 4. We had some drinks and sushi at the bat while we waited for a table with a grill. The crouching tiger roll was surprisingly delicious as well as the Chuck Norris. Then we sat down and had some tepanyaki made at our table with the very cheesy show-the guy was cute but he missed all his targets and messed up not 1 but 2 eggs. This actually made it funny in the end-not of fan of the onion fire tower etc-its played out to me. But the food had lots of butter and soy so it made for a tasty rice and tender meats and shrimp. Portions were huge and we were full and happy at the end.
One of the few places that serve Sukiyaki in Livermore & it is very delicious. Like no other!!! We've had the Teppanyaki dinner here, too. That was equally very delectable & enjoyable. The chef was very entertaining. Try the bento boxes & be prepared to take some home because of their big portions. sashimi is very fresh that melts in your mouth. Service is the cherry on the top. It completes a great dining experience every time we go!
My family and I really like this place, staff is very nice and quick. There are so many options for sushi, we have tried many and they are all wonderful.
